Mary B. Burgoyne joined Delmarva Orthopaedic Clinic, PA now known as The Orthopedic Center in 1995. Her main concentration of practice has been that of Adult and Pediatric Rheumatology.
Dr. Burgoyne completed medical school at the University of North Carolina Medical School. She completed her internship and residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC and completed her fellowship program in Rheumatology at Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC.
Dr. Burgoyne is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Over the years she has served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine Rheumatology Division, Advisory Council on Arthritis and Related Diseases with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and Board of Directors with the Arthritis Foundation, Maryland Chapter.
Dr. Burgoyne's professional memberships include the American College of Rheumatology, Arthritis Foundation-Maryland Chapter, Baltimore Bone Club Foundation, International Society of Clinical Densitometry (ISCD), Medical & Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland, and Talbot County Medical Society.
Dr. Burgoyne lectures on the effects and treatment of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. She has been involved in various research studies and clinical trials for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis.
Dr. Burgoyne has a special interest in IV infusion therapy treatments for adult and pediatric rheumatoid arthritis as well as early detection and treatment of osteoporosis. She is certified as a Clinical Densitometrist (CCD) by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD).
Dr. Burgoyne lives in Easton, Maryland with her son.
