Orthopaedic Surgery
Myron J. Szczukowski, Jr., M.D. completed medical school at the University of Tennessee Center
for Health Sciences in 1978. After completing his internship at Ochsner Foundation Hospital he
completed a residency in Orthopaedics at Emory University in 1984.
Dr. Szczukowski is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is a principal with The Orthopedic
Center and is the co-medical director of the Joint Replacement Center at Memorial Hospital.
His professional memberships include the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons,
American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America,
Federation of Physicians & Dentists, Med/Chi Faculty, Talbot County Medical Society and
past President of the Maryland Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Szczukowski currently serves on
the Board of Directors for Easton Bank & Trust, Innovative Health Services, Talbot
Lacrosse Association, and The Orthopedic Center.
Dr. Szczukowski is an instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins University in
Baltimore. He was previously a Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedics at Emory University and
has served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Memorial Hospital at Easton. Dr. Szczukowski
lectures frequently on joint replacement surgery in various venues one of which was in
Cuzco, Peru. He has an avid interest in medical information/education and the Internet.
His special orthopaedic interests include but are not limited to reconstructive and
arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip and knee. Dr. Szczukowski resides in Oxford with
his wife and three sons.
